Zeitline covers the stories people are actively searching for and explains what is actually known about them.
We combine human editorial judgment with advanced machine-assisted technology to monitor emerging stories, gather reporting, identify relevant information, and build clear, useful coverage. Technology helps us work faster and at greater scale, while people remain an essential part of the process — reviewing information, applying editorial standards, evaluating sources, and making decisions about what deserves to be published.
What we publish
We monitor public trend data to identify the topics people are searching for right now. We then gather reporting from established and identifiable outlets and turn that information into straightforward summaries and explainers.
Articles range from short briefs to longer explainers, depending on how much reliable reporting is available. We would rather publish three useful, honest paragraphs than pad a thin story simply to make it look substantial.
Zeitline does not claim to break news. Our coverage is based on published reporting, and factual claims are attributed to their sources. When a story is developing, thinly reported, disputed, or based on limited information, we make that clear rather than presenting uncertainty as fact.
How it is made
Zeitline uses a hybrid editorial system where people and technology work together.
Our technology monitors trends, assists with research and information gathering, organizes relevant reporting, and helps prepare article drafts. Language models may assist with summarization and writing, but they do not independently decide what is true or what should be published.
Human oversight remains an important part of the process. Editorial checks are used to evaluate sourcing, relevance, duplication, factual consistency, and whether a story provides enough reliable information to be useful.
The goal is not to replace editorial judgment with automation. It is to combine human judgment, research, and machine-assisted capabilities to create a faster, more scalable way of producing responsible news coverage.
Our editorial policy describes the sourcing rules, corroboration thresholds, review process, and corrections policy in greater detail, including the circumstances in which we may publish a single-source story and clearly identify it as unverified.
